Huddle signs deal with the Crown Commercial Service to launch preferential pricing for the UK public sector

12 November 2015

LONDON – November 12, 2015  Huddle, the leader in secure cloud collaboration tools for enterprise and government, today announced a preferential pricing scheme with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) for public sector and government bodies.

Huddle offers secure cloud-based workspaces to help teams securely share files, manage projects and collaborate on content, projects and programmes. The technology is already deployed across a large number of central and local government organisations, as well as other public sector bodies, including the NHS and a variety of arm’s length bodies and charitable organisations. Unlike many competing technologies, Huddle is hosted in the UK to protect the sovereignty of organisations’ data and is a trusted cloud collaboration solution for UK government and the public sector.

“As government looks to improve the way in which agencies work together to achieve quicker outcomes to shared problems, cloud tools such as Huddle are becoming an essential way to overcome disparate IT systems, and meet the needs for greater mobility and security,” explains Mike Hayward, EMEA Head of Public Sector at Huddle. “Huddle brings people together around the work that matters by helping them to securely create, collaborate, manage and share content with the people they need to, regardless of whether they are inside or outside of an organisation’s firewall.”

Huddle’s public sector-specific pricing scheme is available to all public sector bodies that purchase through G-Cloud on the Digital Marketplace.

“Considering the degree of internal and external collaboration that is required across the public sector, collaboration tools are fast becoming an essential part of day-to-day activity,” adds Mike Hayward. “What makes our platform most suitable is the unique strength of our security credentials and the track record we already have with UK public sector bodies. We look forward to expanding our reach within public sector and supporting savings targets with the preferential pricing scheme we have developed with CCS.”

Sarah Hurrell, Commercial Director, Technology at CCS added: "The preferential pricing scheme we have introduced with Huddle will improve the way technology is bought across government and the public sector, and will contribute to increased savings to the public purse".

With UK data centres, and the ability for users to maintain a full and transparent audit trail of all action and activities that take place around their data, Huddle is a secure platform for managing information that is rated as OFFICIAL under the Government Security Classification Policy (GSC).
